Prison Rape Elimination Act Policy
The Mini-Cassia Juvenile Detention Center, in accordance with the Prison Rape Elimination Act (P.R.E.A.), has established a zero tolerance policy, prohibiting sexual abuse and sexual harassment in any form, within the juvenile detention facility. Agency policy requires that all reports of such incidents be forwarded to the appropriate legal authority for a complete investigation.
Report Incidents
Anyone can anonymously report any incident of sexual abuse or harassment by contacting any of the following authorities:

PREA Annual Data Report
In compliance with Section 115.388 of the PREA Standards, MCJDC has reviewed data collected and aggregated pursuant to section 115.387 in order to assess and improve the effectiveness of its sexual abuse prevention, detention, and response policies, practices, and training, including:
- Identifying problem areas;
- Taking corrective action on an ongoing basis; and
- Preparing an annual report of its findings and corrective actions.
