Accessibility

Minidoka County does not discriminate on the basis of disability in the admission or access to, or treatment or employment in, its programs or activities. Tye Thomson, has been designated to coordinate compliance with the non-discrimination requirements contained in section 35.107 of the Department of Justice regulations for the physical buildings and grounds area. Information concerning the provisions of the American with Disabilities Act, and the rights provided there under, are available from the Office of Community Development.

Elevator

No elevator is available in the building, however an in-house phone and desk is available in the lobby to contact those offices located on the 2nd floor and personnel from those offices will meet with you to provide their services.

Handicap Parking

Handicap Parking is located in the county parking lot on the south side of the Courthouse.

Hearing Impaired

Sign language interpreters, utilizing both the correct English method and the American Sign Language method are available upon request at the Clerk of Court's office, located just inside the front entrance of the Courthouse. A Deputy Clerk can be available for note taking during hearings or meetings. A PA system has been installed in the district Courtroom and a personal PA system is available for use during hearings and meetings providing a 24 hour advance notice is given to the Clerk of the Court.

Restrooms

The handicap accessible restrooms are located in the Judicial Building, which is adjacent to the Courthouse.


Speech Impaired

A Deputy Clerk can be available upon request for aid in exchanging written notes. This can be requested at the Clerk of Court's office, Room 105, located on the first floor. Requests must be made 24 hours in advance.

Visual Impaired

A Deputy Clerk or other designated personnel is available to provide assistance in locating different offices, etc. in the courthouse. This can be requested at the Clerk of Court's office, located on the first floor of the Courthouse.

Wheelchair Access

The front entrance to the Minidoka County Courthouse is accommodated by a ramp into the main level of the courthouse. The front doors are equipped with electronic openers. All other County buildings are ground level.
